NOTD: My Party Nails ♥

I was used to painting my nails for a couple of months now and recently my nails were just bare and boring. I opened up my nail polish stash and searched of what I haven't used yet. This is what I came up with:

I have never liked glitters on my nails but this one looks pretty nice and I love it. It looks like a disco ball, for me at least, and it reminds me of partying.

I used Revlon Brilliant Strength in Fascinate as a base and topped it off with this blue glitters of Lina. I don't know where to get this glitter polish but I got mine from Ms. Jaja Enriquez.

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Finals ♥

After a week of classes, finals came and we are required to bring our own model for this day. We are assigned to do three looks, which are romantic bridal makeup, dramatic bridal makeup that is inspired of 1960's Twiggy, and lastly an evening look for Santacruzan Flores de Mayo. I asked my high school friend and teammate to model for me today. She has modelling background so she is perfect for this project. Thank you so much Fatima for joining me in my finals! ♥

Hair setting and bare face:

First thing we did is setting the hair for volume. Our teacher will be styling the hair so it would be quick and we could just focus on the makeup application itself. We just have to bring hair accessories to make the look more appropriate with the theme.

Look #1: Romantic Bridal Makeup

This look is garden inspired wedding, so I added a simple white flower crown.
For the eyes I went for pink base and highlight. For the crease I went for purple to deepen up that area. For the lips I chose NYX Round Lipstick in B52 since I think it would fit the bridal theme.

Here's a picture during the photo shoot.

Look #2: Dramatic Bridal Twiggy Inspired Makeup

It is somewhat hard to pull of a Twiggy inspired look for bridal makeup so I opt for purple cut crease and a metallic silver for the base. For the lips I went for a rose tone to make it still look bridal.

Here is during the photo shoot. I didn't add any hair piece since Twiggy look didn't require any hair accessories, just hoops for earrings.

Look #3: Evening Makeup for Santacruzan

I love this look. I was inspired of just letting the eyes do the talking. In this look I used Urban Decay Naked 2 so it would be neautral and wearable. For the eyes I used a copper color for the base and black for the crease. My original lip color is just nude (as seen in the picture above), but the teacher let me change it up to make the lips more alive. I changed it up to a subtle pinkish red lips.

The hairstyle my teacher made was a simple up do and just amp it up with a huge crown that I brought.

To sum up the day, it was a fun and not a stressful day for me. I enjoyed applying makeup on other people and the time allotted we're just right since from day 1 we were trained to finish a look in a given time. I haven't got the raw pics from the photo shoot yet but I will post it as soon as I got my hands on them.

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Day 6 ♥

This day was for basic hair styling. Before, Module 1 did not have a day for hair styling but luckily for us we now have this. It is a necessity for makeup artists to know how to create different hairstyles so if our hairstylist ditched us, we will have no problem. Also, hair and makeup should be a package.

We learned how to set hair, blow dry, curl, tease and more. Here are some of the hairstyles we learned:

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Day 5 ♥

Last day of applying makeup before the graduation day.
We went back to makeup during the ages, 1960's & 1970's. Then we also learned about makeup for men.

Look #1: 1960's Makeup

This look is inspired by Twiggy. The colorful cut crease, white eyeliner in the lower waterline and the lashes on the lower lash line.
Look #2: 1970's Makeup
I am not sure who inspires this look but it is like a grunge 1940's look.
Look #3: Makeup for Men
Makeup for men should be done 15 minutes or less. It's just a sheer and thin layering of foundation, powder and contour. For blush coral tone should be applied lightly on the cheek bones, nose, forehead and chin. Lightly brush a brow powder on the brows but not shaping it. Then we added one day old facial hairs.

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Day 4 ♥

Day 4 is going back to old school and mod makeup from the 30's to the 50's. We learned the history of makeup in this day and got familiar with the stars who shined during that year. We also learned about the do's and don'ts on makeup for matured and aged women.

Look #1: 1930's Makeup
For me this is the hardest of all because we need to cover up the eyebrows and should look seamless.  Mine still does, unfortunately. The brows are drawn thinly above the original brows because it's the fad then. This look requires the use of blue undertone eyeshadow and red lips so it would appear darker in black and white. For the lips it is shaped and curved to a smiling shape.
Look #2: 1940/1950's Makeup
Marilyn Monroe makeup look. A signature eyeliner and a blue undertone red lipstick.
Look #3: 1960's Makeup
Using a one shade lighter foundation would make them happy. This is like the no makeup makeup look but rather using red lipstick. And just be careful that the foundation and powder would not stuck in the fine lines.

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Day 3 ♥

Day 3 is all about bridal makeup.

Look #1: Classic Bridal Makeup
It's more of neautral eyes and that perfect nudish pink lips. It is just enhancing the beauty of the bride but making her look more radiant and glowing.
Look #2: Romantic Bridal Makeup
Romantic Bridal is all about the romantic colors like pink, red and purple.
This look is monochromatic. My model is morena so the teacher told me to use purple from the eye makeup, lipstick and even contour.

Look #3: Dramatic Bridal Makeup
This is the only makeup for bride that makeup artists can use blue and green. This requires creativity but still making the makeup fits bridal.

Makeup Design Academy Module 1: Day 1 & 2 ♥

My love for makeup led me to pursuing my dream to become a professional makeup artist. To be one, I need to enroll myself to a makeup school that is TESDA accredited. I searched for school that is near my home so there would be no hassle for commuting. My first choice was Makeup Cinema FX at Ybardolaza since that is the nearest to where I am residing and the most affordable. The school mentioned is not really known but the head makeup artist there do makeup for artist from ABS CBN and GMA. But then I searched for popular schools in Metro Manila and most of them are in BGC and Manila.

Then I went to Robinsons Galleria and saw Makeup Design Academy, one of the best makeup school in the Philippines. Luckily one of their branches is near my place, which is beside ABS CBN. In the end, I enrolled there for module 1 weekday class.

DAY 1:
In this day, we are required to pay the full payment of the course if we haven't yet. I felt very welcome and lucky since we are only 3 in the batch. The class is hands on unlike the weekend class which has more than 10 students.

We were required to went to the class half day since it is the most important one. First thing is the teacher told us a little bit about himself and we told about ourselves as well. After that, he just told us the requirements that we need to have in our makeup kit and requirements to finish the class, like homework and research.

♥♥♥
DAY 2:
Today is the start of us applying makeup to our models. The teacher discussed what look we were about to do and he did a demo.

Look #1: No Makeup Makeup
Look #2: Day Time Makeup
Bare face - No makeup makeup - day time makeup

Look #3: Evening Makeup

I learned a lot in the 2nd day, since we learned color scheme and the right application of makeup on the face.

WnW Fergie Collection Perfect Pout Lip Color Swatches ♥

According to the website of Wet 'n Wild, it is described as...
"Soft, velvety lipsticks glide on silky-smooth for weightless wear. These longwearing formulas are specially formulated with anti-aging technology, as well as vitamins and minerals to keep lips soft, smooth, and kissable all-day. Moisturizes and conditions for rich colors that won’t cake, feather, or bleed."
I haven't tested it for the whole day but after swatching them on my lips and arm, they leave stains and quite hard to remove. But nevertheless, they are easy to apply and just glides on smoothly on the lips. I have 8 out of 10 shades of the line and I decided to swatch them. For reference I am NC40.

A033
Fergie Daily

A pale nude beige but it seems to not compliment my skin tone. It looks like I have concealer on my lips and it somewhat washes my lips out. It would suit fair skin tone better.

A034
Bebot Love

An MLBB (My lips but better) for my lip shade at least. It is a pinkish nude that I can see myself wearing everyday. This is my favorite shade in the collection.

A035
V.I. Pink

It's a pale pink/lilac lip shade. It doesn't compliment my skin tone and it is my least favorite shade in the line.

A036
Penthouse Pink

A blue undertone bright pink. It's like a Barbie pink.

A037
Old School Glam

A bright pinkish red. I was kind of disappointed with this because I expected it to be a bright true red since old Hollywood glam rocks that color and not like this, which looks somewhat magenta.

A038
Saranghina

A true cool toned/ blue undertone red. I could say that this is a perfect red.

A039
Fuchsianista

A bright fuchsia with tiny hints of purple sheen, which is not over the top and not too visible.

A0040
D-Vinely Chilled

A frosted wine/plum with gold shimmers. I hate shimmery anything when it comes to makeup but I could make an exception for this. I love the color and it is not too metallic.

That's all that I have for this collection, I will add the last 2 shades when I got my hands on them.

What is your favorite shade in the collection?
